ABOUT

The playful exercise, between organic and natural forms, is a constant mark in Marcia Limmanii's work. It seeks inspiration in everyday elements, extracted from a poetic nature. In her drawings, she uses free and spontaneous stroke movements and seeks the repetition of form as a natural expression of his work. With an artistic eye, she has been creating sculptures and ceramic objects in a contemporary style for over 30 years.

Her trajectory includes several exhibitions, in Brazil and in other countries. She was finalist of the 4th ceramics festival in Mino, Japan, whose work is an integral part of its collection. She represented Brazil at MUBA/Basel, Switzerland with Raku ceramic work. Organized, selected and participated in the exhibition “9 Visions of Brazilian Contemporary Ceramics”, held at Fundação Brasilea, Basel, Switzerland.

She was selected for the first Ceramic Biennale in Cluj Napoca, Romania. She maintains an active studio in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. Currently, she resides in Portugal and promotes her works in the European market.
